Dan and I invested in a couple new camping items this year; a really cool dome canopy, a double grill with hot plate burner and I got a super comfy recliner chair. So you could say this year was a bit easier/more comfortable camping and we had beautiful weather too!! On the Saturday we decided to head into Mansfield, SUPER busy with people. They had a great market going, so we spent the day there, had some lunch at the bakery, chilled out, pretty much what we did all weekend. Back at the campsite there was a fresh water creek, but unfortunately it wasn't quite hot enough out to jump in, would be great in the summer time though! We may have to visit next summer?! Junior had a great time too!! His first camping trip :) He was very funny rolling round in the grass, rolled down a little bank, lots of new smells and a bit of an alcoholic. He was eager to get his mouth around a beer bottle, hehe. He was a little lost at times and didn't settle very easily the first couple of days, all new for him, but by the end he was getting the hang of it. He slept for three days when he got home, I think we wore him out?! We all had great fun, relaxing, talking, playing games, staring at the camp fire, eating...oh...we had a very YUMMY Easter dinner made on the campfire. It was delicious! Chicken roast, corn, damper, potatoes, gravy, yum yum! Dan's started a new Easter tradition, making damper, it was fun smelling it cook on the fire.
Since being back I basically haven't stopped working! This is my first weekend off since. Con (my boss, the restaurant manager) is on holidays (had a brand new baby boy!:), so I'm filling his shoes while he's away. Which is great! (so far:P) But I've had to cover a bunch of his shifts and swap my weekends around to cover his weekends, so I don't get to see Dan this month all that much. :( But I am enjoying running the show at work, so far so good, it hasn't burned down yet anyway ;) lol. Con's back at the end of the month, so a week and a bit left. Then not long after that and I'll be on my holidays! :D :D :D I'm not counting down the days at all....22...
Dan's also now at Bunerong Cemetery as a Team Leader!! Congrats baby!! You deserve the promo :) He said he's really enjoying it. It's apparently a slower pace than Springvale Cemetery, so he's enjoying the more laid back atmosphere. Although he's had to run around the last couple of weeks trying to get them all caught up, apparently they haven't figured out how to prioritize yet, so he's helping sort all that out :)
Unfortunately not much wedding planning going on at the moment. Between both of our work schedules we haven't really had the time to sit down together and go through planning on our online tool. We've agreed when I get back from my holiday's we'll start to really plan, we can't book accommodation or flights until the end of the year/beginning of next anyway, so we'll plan out the ceremony/reception until then :) Got our Save The Dates in the mail which is exciting! So we're slowly starting to hand all those out. Yay! :) That's it really around that news.
My loverly camping chair! It's super comfy!!
