Easter Weekend

HAPPY belated EASTER to everyone!!  I think I missed sending my mass email to everyone!  Hope you all had a lovely long weekend?!  The Bell tradition's still going, we went camping :)  We had a wonderful time!!  We went to the same area that we did last year; Jamieson, different campsite this time though.

Dan and I invested in a couple new camping items this year; a really cool dome canopy, a double grill with hot plate burner and I got a super comfy recliner chair.  So you could say this year was a bit easier/more comfortable camping and we had beautiful weather too!!  On the Saturday we decided to head into Mansfield, SUPER busy with people.  They had a great market going, so we spent the day there, had some lunch at the bakery, chilled out, pretty much what we did all weekend.  Back at the campsite there was a fresh water creek, but unfortunately it wasn't quite hot enough out to jump in, would be great in the summer time though!  We may have to visit next summer?!  Junior had a great time too!!  His first camping trip :)  He was very funny rolling round in the grass, rolled down a little bank, lots of new smells and a bit of an alcoholic.  He was eager to get his mouth around a beer bottle, hehe.  He was a little lost at times and didn't settle very easily the first couple of days, all new for him, but by the end he was getting the hang of it.  He slept for three days when he got home, I think we wore him out?!  We all had great fun, relaxing, talking, playing games, staring at the camp fire, eating...oh...we had a very YUMMY Easter dinner made on the campfire.  It was delicious!  Chicken roast, corn, damper, potatoes, gravy, yum yum!  Dan's started a new Easter tradition, making damper, it was fun smelling it cook on the fire.

Since being back I basically haven't stopped working!  This is my first weekend off since.  Con (my boss, the restaurant manager) is on holidays (had a brand new baby boy!:), so I'm filling his shoes while he's away.  Which is great! (so far:P) But I've had to cover a bunch of his shifts and swap my weekends around to cover his weekends, so I don't get to see Dan this month all that much.  :(  But I am enjoying running the show at work, so far so good, it hasn't burned down yet anyway ;)  lol.  Con's back at the end of the month, so a week and a bit left.  Then not long after that and I'll be on my holidays! :D :D :D  I'm not counting down the days at all....22...

Dan's also now at Bunerong Cemetery as a Team Leader!!  Congrats baby!!  You deserve the promo :)  He said he's really enjoying it.  It's apparently a slower pace than Springvale Cemetery, so he's enjoying the more laid back atmosphere.  Although he's had to run around the last couple of weeks trying to get them all caught up, apparently they haven't figured out how to prioritize yet, so he's helping sort all that out :)

Unfortunately not much wedding planning going on at the moment.  Between both of our work schedules we haven't really had the time to sit down together and go through planning on our online tool.  We've agreed when I get back from my holiday's we'll start to really plan, we can't book accommodation or flights until the end of the year/beginning of next anyway, so we'll plan out the ceremony/reception until then :)  Got our Save The Dates in the mail which is exciting!  So we're slowly starting to hand all those out.  Yay! :)  That's it really around that news.

My loverly camping chair!  It's super comfy!!

Dan & Paul (Dan's eldest brother & best man) chillen' round the fire :)

Yup, alcoholic...

On the way back from the market, he was pooped.

What A Weekend!

Well our Engagement Party was a success!!  We had so much fun!  Spent the entire day setting up the house/yard, partied the night away and spent the entire next day cleaning up.  Had some wonderful food made by Belinda, she's a friend from work and convenient enough she has her own catering business.  Had so many compliments on it, it was great!  Lots of alcohol, a yummy home made chocolate cheesecake made by Narelle (my made of honor:) and some great company!  Sounds like everyone had good fun!  And a BIG THANK YOU for all of our gifts.  They will all be well used :)  We had a wonderful time!

Junior helping clean up the following day.

Let the party begin!  I think we have enough left over to last until Christmas :P

Before the party

Yum!  Candy table! :D

Our bride & groom bottle holders.  Love them!

Dan's other love, M&M's

I think the house/yard looked great!  It was nice to host a party (our fist one) and be able to crash into bed right afterwards.

Our alcohol guard dog! :P  haha, I don't think it's a very flattering picture of him, but still adorable!

Lighting the candles as it gets darker.

Some of Dan's workmates.

Brian, one of my workmates and his partner.

Belinda, our beautiful caterer.

Tahnee and her friend Trent.  Dan and I met Tahnee when we worked up Mount Washington in Canada, she's Australian and she lives 20min from us now.  What a small world!

Ashleigh, a workmate :)

Left to Right; Clarissa (Paul & Rel's daughter, Dan's niece), Paul (Dan's eldest brother and his best man), Sussie (Dan's mum) & Narelle (Pauls wife, my maid of honor:)

The morning after....

Just a little bit to clean up ;) (I think Junior's in the middle of a yawn in this shot, looks funny)

Thank you for all of the cards! :)

Found this little guy in one of Junior's water bowls the other week.  We have a great little eco system in our backyard when it's raining, lots of frogs.  So cool!  He was just swimming round in there while Junior took a drink, too funny!

My cowboy :)

Did you see Wonder Woman??!  She came and left so quick!

Cutting the cake.

Yum!!  Thank you Rel!  It was delicious! xx

I saw my first cremation the other day too.  We had to stop by Dan's work to return a few things we borrowed for the party and it just so happens that we had to go to the crematorium.  It was weird, kind of cool, sad of course if you know the person.  I know the last time Dan took me there (5 years ago) I cried, I had never been around, talked about or aware of death, it was a little rattling at the time.  Of course a little different this time around.  Saw a big bin full of all the metal screws, plates, hip joints etc, again...weird.  But kind of interesting.

On a happier note...6 weeks! :)  Until I fly to Canada.  Yippee!!

And of course, what you've all been waiting for :)  Our wedding;

September 9th, 2013 in Koh Samui, Thailand!!

We've booked the venue, a lovely beach wedding, it's going to be absolutely amazing.  Now we get to put some personal touches on the ceremony/reception, book our flights, accommodation and some fun things to do and then we'll be set.  We're both SO excited!  Lots to plan, lots to look forward to! :)

Anyway, I think this is long enough, hope you enjoyed all the photos :)  Until next time :) xxx
