HAPPY NEW YEAR!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I can't believe another year has come and gone! It's crazy how fast they're going! My year has been very full of lots of ups and downs but I know I've created a lot of amazing memories this past year and I am so excited for the next years journeys! I hope that you all have had a wonderful year and I wish you all the best in the new year!

So you could say that I'm undecided about my new job at The Cash Store. I'm trying my best to stick with it and hope it will get better once I feel a bit more comfortable with the job. At the moment I'm finding it a bit tedious/boring. You could say it's just not me, paper pushing, but I'll try it out for a bit longer. If it doesn't work out then I will be looking for a new job. So cross our fingers and hope it all works out for the best.

I saw my first 37 degree day for awhile yesterday. Thank goodness I was in air-conditioning for most of the day, it was hot and I tend to get a bit moody when it's that hot out! I also got to see my first wild kangaroos since I've been back the other day. We were walking Tonka and two were just hanging out in one of the parks that we walk through. So cool! A lot different than seeing wild deer all the time.

Our Christmas holiday was great. Filled with the Bell family, lots of food and gifts. Wasn't as hot as it usually is for this time of year, so we had a nice Christmas dinner inside. Maybe next year we'll have it outside on the bbq. New Years last night was full of drinks and board games which was good. Brought the new year in with the fire works in Sydney on TV, they went on for about 15min! Bootiful! :) And then we all crashed and went to bed right after midnight, haha, can you tell we party all the time?! :P

Well, not too much else going on at the moment. Just chilling out and working. Still hoping to get our own place Feb time. We'll see how it all goes though. Off to see the Sandcastle Sculptures that they have down at the beach sometime this weekend and take in some of the events. Should be good fun. I hope that you all had a wonderful holiday and I was/am thinking of you all at this special time of year.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF MY WONDERFUL FAMILY & FRIENDS!

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas holiday together with friends and family surrounding you! You will all be in my thoughts and close to my heart!

Our plans are to have a lovely Christmas breakfast here with Dan's brother Paul and his family, then to head up to Dan's parents house with the rest of the Bell family for the day & night. We'll have a yummy Christmas dinner there and open up all of our gifts and enjoy the day with family. Can't wait for the gift opening! :D A four day weekend with two payed is a bonus as well! So it will be a nice weekend and it's supposed to be sunny and warm too! Yeehaa!

My new job at The Cash Store is going well. I just finished my first week there. Lots of training and manuals/procedures to read, I'm slowly getting the hang of it and only a few more modules to read and then I should be good to go! :) Cash Store certified. The employees & my boss are super helpful and nice as well which always makes it a bit easier.

I haven't done too much else this week as I've been working all day and commuting just under an hour there and back. Slowly getting a bit of a routine again. Will be nice to start doing other things as well. Soon.

Well I just wanted to say Merry HO HO to everyone! I can't wait to hear what you all got up to. Keeping you close to my heart and in my thoughts this special holiday.

It's Beginning To Feel A Lot Like Christmas...

Well it's starting to feel like Christmas around here now that the decorations have gone up even though it's warm outside. It was a fun-filled event including decorating the Christmas tree and putting up lights outside with masking tape. They didn't even stay up for a full day! :P Luckily one of the guys put some nails up there for us :) Finished the Christmas shopping today too and they're all wrapped pretty under the tree. Now to sit back and relax.

I saw my first wild echidna and wombat the other week. Pretty exciting. Haven't seen any kangaroo's or koala's yet though. In time.

Off to another job interview tomorrow, this one sounds promising. Fingers crossed I'll get it and be starting by the end of the week. Dan also starts his job tomorrow, that might hurt a little after having a month and a half off. Will be nice to get some income though!

I think the Reindeer Ears suite him! :) Dan, not so much.
You should see him when he actually gets ahold of his tail! One day, I will get it on video, it's hilarious!

A Couple of Photo's for You :)

A couple photo's of Tonka, Dan's dog and now mine I suppose too :) He's 7 now so he's getting up there in doggy years. But such a good dog, lots of energy and always very happy. He always makes you smile. :)

Here's our new beast! It's a 1997 VW Golf and it's a standard which means I get to learn how to drive all over again. I had my first lesson yesterday and I think I might of given Dan a bit of whiplash. hehe. I'm slowly getting the hang of it though.

Another Busy Week

Well it's been another busy week for us. We have managed to move into Dan's brother's place alright. We did our first ikea shop the other day as Dan didn't have much as far as bedroom furniture went plus his mattress had seen better days. So we managed to outfit our bedroom a bit, although we brought home the wrong size bed-frame, silly us! Getting settled alright though. It's good to have Tonka round too. Dan's enjoying having him back. So fun!

We've also managed to get ourselves another car, a more reliable one for a good deal (Gemini will be Dan's back up car when it rains out). It's a '97 VW Golf, red (so it goes faster:) and in top condition. We'll be picking her up on Tuesday this coming week. I'm so excited! She's got air-conditioning! Ace :) Although it's a manual, so I'm going to have to learn how to drive her, watch out! Finally feeling comfortable on the left side of the road though, so it should go alright. Lot's of visiting with family and Dan's old friends over the past week also. Just got back from a family Christmas bbq. Was good to see everyone again and them recognize and welcome me :)

Still in the interview process of finding a job. I'll be hearing back from one tomorrow and then another interview on Tuesday, the other two I had didn't work out for different reasons. Hopefully find a job soon and get some money flow coming to us! Dan will be starting his job (back at the cemetery) either at the end of this week or the beginning of next, so that will be good! Slowly getting there I suppose. It's going to take awhile to get our lives more established here and settled in. Baby steps at the moment, be a bit easier once we both get jobs. It's been a real help having so much family around us, a bit of familiarity. I definitely feel a bit like a dear in the head lights at the moment with so many new things happening, a bit overwhelming at times. Good experience though.

Well, that's it for now. Hope you're all doing well in your own lives. Keep in touch.
